In Carol & The End of The World, the end is in sight and it's just seven months away. The big question is, how will you be spending your remaining days on Earth?

For many people, the idea of the world going up in flames is liberating. They no longer have to conform to society or rules. Gone are the days when they had to sit behind a chair and do their jobs.

Instead, they're off traveling around the world, partying and getting drunk without having to worry about waking up with a throbbing hangover the next day.

Carol's parents in Carol and The End of The World are no different than everyone else. But instead of traveling, they chose to get rid of their clothes and walk around the house in their birthday suit.

Not only that, they have become a throuple with their caregiver. And really, if you've got an impending apocalypse happening in just a few months, why bother with clothes?

Unlike everyone else, Carol doesn't feel the need to change her life. She doesn't want to chase after sunsets and go crazy before things go haywire.

Instead, she simply wants to continue her mundane life. Even though nobody needs to work anymore and money is virtually useless, Carol decides to start working at the only company that's still operating: The Distraction.

The show is an intelligently written depiction of how people live their lives and what lies ahead of them. And while there are people who would prefer to go party and have wild encounters with strangers, there are others who wish to simply live their lives as normally as possible.

And either case works fine. Even with the impending global extinction, you don't need to go all out and YOLO (you only live once) because in reality, that's all you've got.
