Cardi B Joins The Cast Of Fast & Furious 9

After her big movie debut in the film Hustlers, rapper Cardi B is ready to take on another role. And this time, it's for the upcoming action-packed movie installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.

In a recent Instagram post from Vin Diesel, the actor made a casting reveal for Cardi B while in (what seems to be) a boat. The video shows Diesel with the rapper turned actress, on the 86th day of the film's shoot. The actor didn't directly announce the casting and addressed it just like a normal day with friends.

"I know I'm exhausted," the actor said. "We all gave every single thing we could for this movie." Cardi B silently agrees beside the actor and went on to say, "I'm tired, but I can't wait." She claims that the said movie is "going to be the best one." "I need to take a nappy-nap," she adds, showing that they've had a long day of shoot. You can check out Diesel's post below.

Diesel seems to be happy about Cardi B's casting as he laughs with her while she speaks. The rapper's role is yet to be announced though but we'd be surely expecting to see her joining in on the action since she seems to be wearing some sort of vest in the video.

Aside from Cardi B, John Cena, Finn Cole, and Anna Sawai have also been cast. While Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Chris Bridges, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron will be reprising their roles.

Fast & Furious 9 is set for release on May 22, 2020.
