Captain Marvel Star Brie Larson Worries About Becoming The Last of Us Clicker

The success of The Last of Us certainly has people talking and even celebrities can't get enough of the HBO series. Even Brie Larson has clearly enjoyed the show and her latest social media post pokes fun at a meal that might turn her into a Clicker.

In The Last of Us, it has been confirmed that mutated cordyceps were spread through flour, leading to a global pandemic as the fungus infected humans and turned them into violent zombies. And although Brie Larson's latest meal doesn't appear to have any flour, it does resemble the mutated creatures in The Last of Us.

"Promise this won’t turn me into a Clicker from #TheLastofUs?" Larson tweeted.

It's a hilarious reference to the hit series and we're pretty sure the plate doesn't have any mutated cordyceps. Still, it's great to know that Brie Larson has watched The Last of Us and clearly enjoyed it.

The first three episodes of The Last of Us have already established that the zombie apocalypse started when cordyceps mutated and began to infect humans. Although there appears to be no cure, it was revealed that a young girl named Ellie is resistant to infection and might be the only hope for mankind. Because of this, the Fireflies are determined to examine her and figure out a cure.

In the meantime, Brie Larson is set to reprise her role as Carol Danvers in The Marvels, the sequel to 2019's Captain Marvel. The upcoming film will feature Carol working with Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan and Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau as they end up swapping with each other whenever they use their powers.

The Last of Us Episode 4 is titled Please Hold My Hand and is set to premiere on HBO on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Brie Larson returns as Carol Danvers in The Marvels which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 28, 2023.
