Brie Larson may be having the time of her life playing Captain Marvel over at Marvel Studios, but the Oscar-winning actress is also eyeing another major media franchise. Larson, a self-confessed Star Wars geek has expressed her interest in the past to star in a Lucasfilm project and if the rumors are to be believed, the 31-year-old is currently in negotiations to star in her own Star Wars project that could potentially hit Disney+.
Now, a new rumor from Giant Freakin Robot suggests that the deal isn't finalized just yet with Brie reportedly asking for $20 million to appear in the Star Wars universe. The entertainment website's anonymous source didn't disclose the extent of the supposed deal but they are assuming that the actress' asking price could either cover just one feature film project or multiple appearances on several Lucasfilm projects which sounds a lot more reasonable. But just like any rumor, take this one with a huge grain of salt.
Now, considering she's a huge fan of the franchise, one would assume that Larson would totally take on a Star Wars project in a heartbeat even if the salary wasn't as grand. But then again, an actress of her caliber deserves to be paid a good chunk of money, and let's face it, she's one of the hottest stars in Hollywood right now and every studio would kill to have someone like her on board.
Meanwhile, Brie Larson is set to reprise her role as Carol Danvers in The Marvels.
