Captain Marvel Merchandise May Have Confirmed Popular Fan Theory About Carol's Cat

Captain Marvel is finally starting to impress fans, thanks to the epic second trailer that showed just how powerful Carol Danvers is going to be. We got a good look at how Carol's costume lets her wear the iconic helmet she is known for and also showed us more Skrulls, which was a nice treat. We also got out first look at Carol's cat, which somehow led to fans thinking that it would be a Skrull.

Thanks to some of the film's merchandise, it seems like those fan theories about Carol's cat being a Skrull might just be correct. One of the figurines has Nick Fury with a gun while the cat is handcuffed, which is pretty darn questionable. It'll also be kind of sad if this cat takes Fury's eye since the soon-to-be S.H.I.E.L.D. head showed some interest in the cat.

Who doesn't like cats? Why do you think the Lion King trailer has so many views?

It will be fun to see if this Skrull is a well-known character like Klrt, the most famous Skrull who has the powers of the Fantastic Four. Then again, it could also be a brand-new Skrull character who will soon be introduced in the comic books to drive sales and keep the corporate synergy between Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios alive. We'll find out soon enough.

Captain Marvel comes out on March 8, 2019. The movie will take place in the '90s and is set before all of the MCU installments that have come out thus far, aside from Captain America: The First Avenger.
