Captain Marvel 2 to Reportedly Introduce a Female Nova

It looks like there are rumors running up and down the mill saying that Marvel Studios may introduce a female Nova in its Captain Marvel sequel.

Last week, word came out that Marvel would be working on Captain Marvel 2, the follow-up to the film that introduced Brie Larson's Carol Danvers into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, according to Cosmic Book News, there are rumors on 4chan that suggest that Marvel may integrate a female Nova into the upcoming standalone movie.

This report may sound like a surprise to fans who've been long since hoping to see Nova in the MCU, but the female version of Nova is expected to appear in Captain Marvel 2 to help set up an A-Force movie together with Carol Danvers. The rumor suggests that Marvel fans are going to see what's left of Nova Corp after Thanos destroyed the planet – concepts originally meant for Avengers: Infinity War will be seen at the very beginning of Captain Marvel 2.

Part of the remainder of the Nova Corp will be Richard Rider's own daughter, Beth Rider. Beth will serve as the very first Nova in the MCU. She'll also appear as a sub-antagonist in the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel.

As interesting as it may seem, we suggest that fans take the report with a grain of salt. We can't be sure of what Marvel has planned for Captain Marvel 2 until we get word from Marvel Studios itself. Would you like to see a female Nova in Captain Marvel 2?
