Chris Evans Has Been Dating A Portuguese Actress For Over A Year?
The Marvel actor has been seeing Portuguese actress Alba Baptista "for over a year and it's serious," an anonymous source told People. "They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her."
Evans, 41, who was named People's 2022 Sexiest Man Alive, said that he is feeling "very content" with his life prior to the reports that he has been dating Baptista, 25.
In his interview with the magazine, he said he was focused on work-life balance, including spending time with his loved ones. He also opened up about his interest in having his own family.
"That's absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family," Evans said. "When you read about most of the best artists, whether it's actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn't the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared."
"So it's also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important," he said. "I love the idea of tradition and ceremony. I had a lot of that in my life, so the idea of creating that — I can't think of anything better."

Evans' girlfriend, Baptista, was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1997. Her parents are an engineer and a translator, People reported.
She made her English-language debut in the movie "Warrior Nun." But prior to that, she starred in a number of Portuguese series and films, including A Impostora, Filha da Lei, A Criação, and Jogo Duplo. She recently starred in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.
Baptista is a polyglot. She can speak five languages. Aside from her native Portuguese, she can also speak English, Spanish, German and French.

Evans and Baptista sparked romance early this year, according to Just Jared. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that he started following Baptista in the fall of 2020, and she followed him back in 2021 when they were both filming projects in Europe.
