Two ongoing manga series are getting quick breaks with the announcement of a hiatus for both Call of the Night and To Your Eternity.

The quick hiatus for both series was announced in the latest issue of their respective magazines which are Weekly Shonen Sunday and Weekly Shonen Magazine (as reported by Anime News Network).

For Call of the Night, the hiatus will only be one-week long, and it was revealed in the 41st issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday. The latest chapter was published in the issue, which means the break will be next week.

According to the announcement, the delay was due to the manga’s author catching an illness. Though it was confirmed that the author has already recovered and will use the week to recuperate.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Call of the Night is a manga series by Kotoyama that began serialization on August 28, 2019. Due to the series’ popularity, it received a TV anime adaptation by Liden Films which is currently airing.

Its story follows Kou Yamori, a middle school student who quits school due to feelings of dissatisfaction. To cope, he takes nightly walks. But one night, he meets Nazuna, who promises to help him in his rut.

It turns out that Nazuna is a vampire, and when Kou finds out, he expresses a desire to become a vampire as well.

Becoming one isn’t easy though as he must be bitten by someone he loves before he turns into a vampire. Because of this, he resolves to fall in love with Nazuna.

The manga’s next chapter will be released in the 43rd issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday which comes out on September 21, 2022.

To Your Eternity is a manga by Yoshitoki Oima, the author of A Silent Voice. The manga is currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine, and it received an anime series adaptation, with a second season set to release this October.

The series follows a boy who is wandering the Arctic region as he meets a wolf, and the two become dependent on each other for survival. Though the wolf is actually a mysterious, immortal creature from outside Earth.

To Your Eternity’s next chapter will be released in the 42nd Weekly Shonen Magazine issue which will come out on September 14, 2022.
