BTS Power: Suga, Jimin's Promotional Videos For South Korea Tourism Garner 43 Million Views in Just 1 Week

BTS proved that its members have unmatched influences on the public as Suga and Jimin’s music videos immediately reached millions of views one week after their release.

International magazines and news outlets put the spotlight on BTS during the K-pop group’s free Yet To Come in Busan concert. The event welcomed over 100,000 attendees as Busan aims to become the host of the 2030 World Expo.

Aside from the event, BTS has also been helping South Korea to promote its tourism industry.

BTS Suga, Jimin’s Music Videos Gain 43 Million Views

On Imagine Your Korea’s YouTube channel, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) uploaded two music videos featuring Suga and Jimin. The BTS members promote Busan and Daejeon and introduce the places’ tourist attractions.

One week after the release, the videos for Busan and Daejeon already garnered 22.25 million and 20.86 million views, respectively.

Cho Young Pil’s Come Back to Busan serves as the theme song to promote Busan’s attractions, while Songgolmae’s A Chance Encounter plays in the video for Daejeon.

After Suga and Jimin’s music video, the YouTube channel released the music videos for Pohang and Jeju, which feature Drunken Tiger’s Do You Know Hip Hop? and Park Sung Yeon’s The Wind Is Blowing.

BTS Jimin Reaches New Milestone

BTS’ vocalist/dancer recently reached a new milestone after scoring nominations at the Korean Music Award Shows, GAON and MAMA, for his songs.

The Mnet Asia Music Awards confirmed that BTS earned 17 nods, two of which belong to Jimin. His song, With You, scored nominations for Best OST of the year on MAMA and Song of The Year (Daesang).

Jimin also set a record on the GAON Music charts with his Filter and Friends. The two tracks earned nominations for Song of The Year after setting records internationally. For what it’s worth, Jimin’s Filter remains the most streamed Korean B side and the fastest Korean male solo track to reach 330 million streams on Spotify.
