BTS Jin left a surprise message to ARMYs before he was enlisted in the military.

Jin officially entered the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center on Dec. 13 as he started his work as an active-duty soldier. BTS members joined him on his way to Yeoncheon County and gave him heartfelt messages.

A few weeks after he started his work, BTS’s official YouTube channel unveiled a surprise message the idol had recorded before entering the military.

BTS Jin Offers Heartfelt Message to Fans

BANGTANTV’s official channel uploaded a video of Jin wearing a white gym suit. The video was said to be taken while he was filming his episode in the hit South Korean variety show, Running Man. His recorded appearance was aired on Nov. 6.

Jin said the video would be out once he entered the military — and it did, as it had been weeks since he started his duty.

“But I am here in front of the camera, because I wanted to leave you something, even if it is just leaving a message. Whenever I am available I wish to share these videos with you," he said in the short video. “I may not be by your side now, but I'll be back to you soon if you just wait a little.”

He then waved to the camera and smiled before signing off.

BTS’s Agency Shares Reminders to ARMYs

As Jin continues his duty, BIG HIT MUSIC issued a statement this month reminding the fans not to send letters and gifts to the idol while he is in the military. It stated that it would be difficult to store them in the area, or they might get lost.

“Jin is stationed at a training center designated specifically for military training together with regular military personnel. If a large number of letters and gifts from the fans arrive at the center all at once, it would be difficult to store them and they could be easily lost,” it explained.

Instead of sending gifts, the company urged fans to send their messages via Weverse app under the hashtag #Dear_Jin_from_ARMY. According to BigHit, fans should also refrain from visiting the training site.

Jin also has his own personal online postbox at The Camp. The website receives online letters for Korean soldiers in the military. Still, the website reminds fans not to send too many letters to prevent the server from getting unstable.
