Will BTS J-Hope be enlisted in the military on April 18?

Details regarding J-Hope's military enlistment are yet to be disclosed to the public. His agency, however, said that he would serve as an active-duty soldier.

Amid the lack of updates, there are reports suggesting that the idol will start his service on April 18.

HYBE, BIGHIT Music Respond To Reports Regarding BTS J-Hope's Enlistment Date

News1 released a report on Thursday revealing that the Hope World singer would enter the military on April 18 at a training center in Gangwon Province.

Aside from the date, the media outlet said J-Hope would have a 5-week basic training before receiving an assignment to his permanent post as an active duty soldier.

In response to the report, HYBE and BIGHIT Music released statements to address the rumors.

HYBE declined to confirm the rumors, telling a local media outlet (per Korea JoongAng Daily) that the company was not able to confirm his enlistment date and location. BIGHIT Music shared a similar response, asking fans for their understanding.

It came after BIGHIT Music formally announced that J-Hope would join an army boot camp to complete his military duties. However, J-Hope himself said during a Weverse livestream in March that his enlistment date had already been set.

"It's not like I can go whenever I want, but the date [of the enlistment] has been set, and I think it's about time I start preparing for it," the BTS member went on. "I thought I should complete [my military service] as soon as possible and return to my fans and show you guys a more mature version of myself." B

BIGHIT Music Urges Fans To Refrain From Visiting J-Hope's Enlistment Area

Prior to the recent report, BIGHIT Music asked ARMYs to avoid going to the location where he would be enlisted to prevent the issues that might be caused by overcrowding.

"We ask for your continued love and support for J-Hope until he completes his military service and returns. Our company will also strive to provide all the support he needs during this time," the label went on.

Before his enlistment, J-Hope already left something for fans by releasing several music projects, including his collaboration with J. Cole, on the street.
