Sam Raimi recently confirmed that he'll helm Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness following Scott Derrickson's departure from the project as director. Fans were definitely excited by this news, and they weren't alone. Bruce Campbell, who is Raimi's friend and frequent collaborator, is even eager to land a role in the Marvel movie.

Campbell took to Twitter to respond to the news about Raimi's involvement with the Doctor Strange sequel, and it seems like he'd be more than willing to play the movie's villain. "Huh," the actor wrote. "Surely, there must be SOME character to challenge the good Doctor..." You can check out his tweet below!

As fans may well know, Campbell has worked alongside Raimi in Evil Dead and is no stranger to the Marvel universe. He played different roles in all three of Raimi's Spider-Man films: a ring announcer, a snooty theater usher, and a Maitre d'. He also voiced some Spider-Man licensed video games as the tutorial narrator, so having him in another Marvel movie with Raimi is no question.

For now, there's not much known about the sequel, but is expected to have horror elements. There is no villain confirmed for the movie as well, though there's no doubt that Campbell still has the chops to perform as the Sorcerer Supreme's foe.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
