Brooklyn Nine-Nine 6 Gets an Action-Packed Trailer a la Die Hard

Brooklyn Nine-Nine was cancelled by Fox after five seasons, but the show has found new life with NBC picking up the pieces. The show is set to debut in its new home next year, and we have a new action-packed trailer that fulfills all of Jake Peralta's action movie dreams.

Any fan of the show knows that one of Jake's al-time favorite movies is Die Hard, and we see his fantasy play out in the trailer with him even looking like John McClane. I have to say, with the show finding a new network, they're really bringing themselves back with a bang.

Interestingly though, I can't help but think that comment about cutting Terry from the department could be a hint at Terry Crews leaving the show. Even if NBC did pick-up Nine-Nine, the sixth season has been cut in half with only 13 episodes to air. Who knows how much lower the budget actually is.

The fifth season ended pretty much like it wrapped everything up neatly. Jake and Amy got married with Captain Holt possibly being teased as the new commissioner for the NYPD. Add to that we have a potential love interest for Rosa in the form of Gina Rodriguez.

With show creator Michael Schur bringing hit after hit for NBC with The Office, Parks and Recreation, and now The Good Place, it's actually pretty cool that the network would put out and save another one of his shows—even if it's from another studio.

Catch Brooklyn Nine-Nine on NBC Jan. 10, 2019.
