He might be DC-bound these days but many fans will always remember Brian Michael Bendis for his memorable Marvel comics. Whether these runs were good or bad is up for debate but Bendis did leave an impact, with people still talking about his work in All-New X-Men, New Avengers, and Daredevil, among others. These days, Bendis is working on Superman, Action Comics, and Young Justice but it looks like he still has some Marvel projects left.
Bendis confirmed not too long ago that he was working on an X-Men project, with many of us assuming it's a Kitty Pryde movie since he loves that character. While the writer has yet to confirm if it's about Marvel's plucky X-Girl, Bendis did state that he is still working on the movie, which is interesting, to say the least.
With Disney's purchase of Fox coming to a head, it seems like all of the X-Men movies not yet in production are doomed. However, this statement from the writer implies that a.) Disney will honor some of the X-Men projects Fox is working on or b.) the film will be a part of the MCU once Disney purchases Fox.
Aside from X-Men: Dark Phoenix and New Mutants, the fate of Fox's other unannounced Marvel projects are a mystery. One would hope that the project Bendis is working on would become a part of the MCU since everyone wants to see the X-Men in this universe but we'll have to wait and see.
