Bossk Almost Had An Interesting Role In Solo: A Star Wars Story

It looks like Darth Maul wasn't the only cool character that was supposed to appear in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Jon Kasdan has just revealed that Boba Fett's mentor Bossk was meant to have a surprising connection to one of the film's most interesting characters.

Kasdan recently shared several notes from Solo on his official Twitter account. In Note #47, the screenwriter wrote that Bossk was originally meant to play an important role in the film. Take a look at his post below.

Kasdan wrote, "In many drafts of the script Enfys' #2 was the mercenary Bossk who abandoned her at the end of the movie, as he is truly a soldier of fortune. This was another thing I fought long and hard to keep but was ultimately overruled."

Bossk's appearance in Solo would have been great considering that the Trandoshan has a solid history of working with young up-and-comers in Star Wars. The bounty hunter was a mentor to a young Boba Fett in The Clone Wars and also had an interesting relationship with Ezra Bridger in Star Wars Rebels.

There is little doubt that Bossk could be a fitting ally for Enfys Nest but his supposed stint with the Cloud-Riders might complicate the Star Wars timeline. It certainly looks like a good call for Solo to simply remove the character from the story.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is currently available on digital download. The film's DVD and Blu-ray will be released on September 25.
