What Happened Before Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 254?

In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 253, Conflicting Feelings, Sarada and her team make it to the ship of Funato and Boruto grabs the chance to talk to Ikada. However, Ikada sinks their ship so Boruto and the others are forced to get aboard the Funato vessel. Boruto mentions that Chojuro promised them that the Funato clan would retreat but Ikada and Araumi are not convinced by the words of Boruto.

Boruto reasons out with Ikada by bringing up his dream to be a shipmaker but the response of Ikada is getting angry because of the death of Seiren and at that moment, Ikada uses his ability to control the sea. Denki, Buntan, and Kyoho arrive to join Sarada and prepare to fight since they will need all the help they can get.

Ikada is angry and he promises that more blood will be shed from the Mist as revenge for what the Funato clan lost. Boruto reasons with him and Ikada gives Boruto an ultimatum: bring Chojuro’s head. Instead, Boruto offers his own life.
