After going on hiatus for the first time in a while, the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga is finally set to return this August, and its official return date has been shared online.
Though the manga’s official channels have yet to make an official announcement, several notable manga insiders revealed on Twitter that the Boruto manga’s return will be in mid-August.
Aside from the anticipation that a lengthy hiatus brings, Boruto fans are also getting excited as there have been leaks of Sarada’s new look for the manga.
New Designs for Sarada Are Leaked Online
While the latest V Jump issue has yet to be released officially, scans from the magazine’s latest issue have popped up online, with some featuring Sarada's new look.
Specifically, Sarada’s new look was revealed in a scan of an illustration from the next V Jump issue.
While the illustration doesn’t show off Sarada’s new look in its entirety, it does give fans a peek at her new jacket, choker, and top. Even her hairstyle is quite different this time.
This updated look for Sarada makes sense given that the manga will return from its three-month hiatus with a time skip. This should mean we will get updated looks for Boruto, Kawaki, and other characters.
As for the reactions, many fans loved the new Sarada illustration, enough that lots of fan art have been shared online, even though the leaks only got shared today.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Manga Is Returning From Hiatus With Part 2
Aside from the new look for Sarada, the illustration for Boruto's return also features the title of the manga’s second part. Specifically, Part 2 is called Two Blue Vortex.
Although there’s no official word yet, it’s all but confirmed at this point that the next Boruto chapter will be released in Shueisha’s V Jump magazine on August 21, 2023.
As new Boruto chapters are also released on Manga Plus, it’s also safe to bet that the next part will be available there.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is expected to return with its next chapter on August 21. Though for now, there’s no word yet on a release date for the manga outside Japan.
While fans will soon see the story’s continuation in the manga, that’s not the case in the anime as the Boruto anime series is still on an extended hiatus.
