Bocchi the Rock! was one of the biggest anime of 2022, not only in Japan but also internationally. Now, thanks to the show’s popularity, the Bocchi the Rock! manga is confirmed to get an English release soon.

At Sakura-Con 2023, publisher Yen Press announced its upcoming slate of manga and novels that it will release in English.

Among them is the Bocchi the Rock! manga by Aki Hamaji, the source material for one of the stand-out shows of Fall 2022.

While Bocchi is undoubtedly the highlight of Yen Press’ latest lineup, the publisher also has other interesting titles from Sakura-Con.

One of these is The Deer King, a fantasy light novel and manga series. It is fairly short as it only consists of four novel volumes and two manga volumes, but it should be worth reading for fantasy fans given its interesting premise.

Some anime fans might also be familiar with it as an anime movie adaptation by Production I.G was released last year in selected cinemas in the US.

Another interesting new title that was acquired by Yen Press is Glitch, a mystery manga series that follows two siblings as they investigate some mysterious visions that are plaguing them in their new town.

Yen Press will also publish I May Be a Guild Receptionist, But I'll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time for those who want a more light-hearted fantasy series.

This light novel follows Alina Clover, a guild receptionist who hates paperwork so much that she secretly beats monsters in dungeons for struggling adventurers.

Perhaps the manga that got the most attention in Yen Press’ lineup is Bocchi the Rock!

This makes sense considering the popularity of CloverWorks’ anime adaptation and how many viewers clamored for an official English manga release.

With this upcoming release, fans will no longer have to rely on unofficial fan translations to read the source material.

However, fans need to take note that the manga is quite different from the anime, especially given its format.

Unlike the more common manga format, Bocchi the Rock! is a 4-panel series, meaning each chapter is short and more reliant on humor and gags.

Still, it should be worth reading for fans of the series, especially as there are new story developments that haven’t been covered by the anime.

For now, there’s no word yet on an English release date for the Bocchi the Rock! manga.
