Bobby Moynihan Shares a Weird Thing Adam Driver Did During His SNL Sketch

SNL's Bobby Moynihan is a huge Star Wars fan, and he was able to act alongside Adam Driver in the now iconic Matt the Radar Technician sketch. Sitting down with The Star Wars Show, Moynihan shared that Driver was actually going a bit method for the role, and did something weird while they were shooting.

Moynihan says:

We were so excited to have Adam Driver come in that week. He could not have been cooler. It was the best, just watching him getting into Kylo Ren.

Right before one of the shots he's like, "Can I have a second?" and started punching himself in the stomach in the corner, and I was just, "That is the coolest thing in the world!"

Fans who saw The Force Awakens will remember that Kylo would punch himself during his battle with Finn and Rey. Though some thought it was a tad confusing, I always saw it that Ren was trying to wake himself up from the blaster shot he suffered.

It's also been revealed that Driver is kind of a method actor, even going so far as to refuse lunch with Mark Hamill as his character is supposed to hate Luke Skywalker. No idea he had to go method for an SNL sketch.

Going back to Moynihan, he's set to star in the animated Star Wars: Resistance which is set to release sometime this fall.
