What Is Blue Lock: Episode Nagi About? Exploring Seishiro Nagi’s Past

Blue Lock is a sports anime that’s based on a Weekly Shonen Magazine manga of the same name. The anime premiered in Fall 2022 where it became a huge hit as it coincided with Japan’s surprising World Cup run.

Given the series’ success, the Blue Lock: Episode Nagi anime film was announced shortly after the TV anime’s final episode. This is an adaptation of the manga spin-off of the same name.

As its title implies, this new film follows Seishiro Nagi. Instead of being set after the main story, it’s a prequel that explores Nagi’s time before he entered the Blue Lock facility.
