Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are great friends. They worked together for years on The Voice.
While there, the A-listers’ relationship served as the perfect definition of bromance. And even after Levine quit the hit reality TV show, he and Shelton continued to stay in touch.
In July, Sheldon tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Gwen Stefani. And fans were surprised to know that he didn’t invite Levine to his special day.
When the country superstar appeared on the Ellen Show earlier this month, he said that not inviting Levine to his wedding was one of the best decisions he ever made.
Of course, Shelton was just joking at the time. He and Levine always throw shade at each other, but it’s nothing serious. However, some publications couldn’t help but speculate regarding the A-listers’ real relationship.
Blake Shelton, Adam Levine Have Been Feuding For Years
In Touch Weekly, in its Dec. 27 issue, claimed that Shelton and Levine were never close and their bromance was, allegedly, just for show.
An unnamed source claimed that Shelton and Levine have been feuding with each other for years. And the A-listers struggled to get along because of their differences.
“They come from totally different worlds. Blake is a total jokester, while Adam is very Hollywood – he’s loud and flashy. He always thought Gwen was more like him and Blake and Gwen were mismatched,” the unnamed source said.
Blake Shelton Offended By Adam Levine’s Jokes
Shelton allegedly takes offense to Levine’s jokes. And what makes things worse is that the latter doesn’t know when to stop.
“He once said Gwen was cool and Blake wasn’t. It may have seemed like a joke, but it stung. Some of Adam’s comments – even if he delivered them with a smile – would hit below the belt,” the unnamed source said.
The unnamed source added that Shelton couldn’t be more thrilled to not have Levine on The Voice. This way, no one teases him and hurts his feelings just like the singer used to do.
“Adam has made it pretty clear he’s not coming back without getting specific as to why and his not returning must be fine with Blake. Blake played along for nearly 10 years, but the bottom line is, he just doesn’t like Adam that much. Blake didn’t want him anywhere near his special day with Gwen,” the unnamed source concluded.
Blake Shelton, Adam Levine Still Keep In Touch
However, Levine previously told People that he and Shelton still keep in touch.
“We keep in touch constantly. We're always keeping tabs with each other — texting or FaceTime or however we can do it,” Levine said.
The singer also said that he had a blast reuniting with Shelton and Stefani when they filmed their T-Mobile commercial for the Super Bowl.
“They asked me to do it, and it was so funny 'cause I was kinda thinking to myself, 'Are they aware that I'm not on The Voice anymore?’ But the second I saw Blake it was as if no time had passed, because we talk all the time,” he gushed.

Blake Shelton Jokes About Not Inviting Adam Levine To His, Gwen Stefani’s Wedding
When Shelton spoke with DeGeneres earlier this month, he also confirmed that he’s still friends with Levine. And there’s no indication that the latter was hurt over his and Stefani’s decision to not invite him to their wedding.
Prior to Shelton and Stefani’s wedding, Levine hilariously said that he would attend, but only so he could object to the couple’s union.
“I'll go to the wedding, and I'll object. I will probably not be invited, now that I'm saying this on live television, but I'll be there, somehow,” Levine told DeGeneres.
Shelton said that he and Stefani decided not to invite Levine after hearing his interview with DeGeneres.
“I purposely did not invite Adam Levine to my wedding and I think it’s funny,” he said.
