BLACKPINK To Move Agency

In other news, BLACKPINK will reportedly change its management and transfer to YG Entertainment subsidiary, The Black Label. Industry sources confirmed the news to The Korea Herald, saying that Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose would leave the agency once their contracts ended.

The Black Label is currently headed by creative director and songwriter Teddy. He has notably been working with BLACKPINK since the girl group debuted.

After working for YG, Teddy co-founded the label in 2016 and has since released several songs for its artists, including Jeon Somi, Jinusean, Seven, BIGBANG, Lee Hi, and 2NE1. BIGBANG’s Taeyang recently transferred to the label.

“There’s nothing I can confirm regarding the news. What I can say is that our contracts with the members have not ended yet. It's hard to confirm whether they will sign with The Black Label or not after their contracts end,” a YG official said.
