Black Widow's David Harbour Joins Doctor Strange 2 Tide Ad

Marvel Studios kicked off Phase 4's theatrical films with last year's Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson as the titular character in her first solo film. MCU's Phase 4 also includes the star-studded Eternals, Simu Liu's MCU debut in Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings, and MCU's sixth highest-grossing film, Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now that the highly-anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the MCU's next biggest film slated for 2022, fans certainly have so much to look forward to.

Just when we thought that Spider-Man: No Way Home and Avengers: Endgame are Marvel Studios' biggest crossover films, the MCU would attempt to break its own record with the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Prior to the film's theatrical release, rumors are already swirling around that multiple characters from massive franchises will appear in the film. Most recently, Doctor Strange 2's latest trailer finally confirms Patrick Stewart's return as Professor X, which sparks speculation that there's much more to anticipate, including rumored appearances of a Captain Marvel variant, Tom Cruise's Iron-Man variant, and even fan-beloved character Deadpool.

While these crossovers still remain a mystery and will only be unraveled when the film finally hit the big screens, in the most recent ad, someone from a completely different franchise joins Doctor Strange 2's promo ad.

Black Widow star David Harbour shared an 18 seconds ad he did with Tide that directly ties with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Ad can be watched below:

David Harbour made his MCU debut in 2021's Black Widow as Alexei Shostakoff aka Red Guardian, alongside Florence Pugh and lead star Scarlett Johansson, playing a father figure for Yelena and Natasha. Aside from that, Harbour also plays a prominent role in the Netflix hit Stranger Things as Jim Hopper, which centers on supernatural and paranormal adventures.

Now, with Harbour's appearance in the latest Tide ad tied with Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, fans seemingly think that Harbour's Red Guardian might make it to the already loaded cast.

Now that we only have less than a month to wait for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we will certainly discover all the rumored appearances and multiversal mysteries that Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch will be entangled with.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit the big screens on May 4.
