Scarlett Johansson shocked the entire entertainment industry last July when she filed a lawsuit against Disney over the release of Black Widow on Disney+'s Premier Access feature. The two parties went on a heated back-and-forth for weeks and it looked like the bridges have been burned. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed in the end and both Johansson and the House of Mouse eventually reached a settlement that reportedly gave the actress a guaranteed $40 million dollars.
Now, the Natasha Romanoff actress is finally speaking out months following her highly-publicized falling out with the company that she worked with for 10 plus years. According to Johansson, she doesn't regret anything about what happened and if anything, her controversial move left a lasting impact in the entertainment scene especially over concerns of pay.
In an official statement she told the press at an event held in her honor (via The Hollywood Reporter), the Marvel Cinematic Universe actress said: "It was a very surreal time because, of course, the film had come out and was hugely successful and that was a big celebration. I had a baby and that was obviously a life-changing, amazing, celebratory thing. In a way, that sort of buoyed me through the very uncertain, stressful time. I feel mostly very fortunate that nobody will have to go through what I went through and that it’s made, I think, a positive impact in the industry and hopefully for artists and creatives’ lives and livelihood. [...] It’s an evolving time where there’s this huge sea change happening, and as my daughter [Rose] told me the other day, you can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs."

Scarlett and Disney's settlement gave fans a huge sigh of relief and while her MCU future still remains unclear at this point, it's actually safe to say that the doors that were once closed have once again opened for her and with the billion-dollar franchise about to open the pathway to the multiverse, there's a good chance that we might see Natasha back at some capacity. I guess only time will tell.
