Black Widow Movie to Possibly Start Shooting By the End of February

We know that a Black Widow movie is in the works with Marvel Studios, but we don't know just how far into development the film is. Now rumor has it that the movie could start production sooner than expected.

According to The GWW, the Black Widow film is aiming to start production this coming Feb. 28 in Croatia and Miami. Cate Shortland has been tapped to direct the movie with Scarlet Johansson set to reprise her role of Natasha Romanoff.

Of course, we should take this news with a grain of salt. How is it that we haven't been getting any updates on Black Widow but the movie is already set to begin production next month? Either Marvel really kept the project under the radar or this news is false. Either way, we should be getting some significant updates soon.

Recently it's been rumored that Black Widow will be the first R-Rated film in the MCU which I think isn't a bad idea at all. At this point in time, Marvel films have been starting to show a specific formula, and I'm always looking forward to some entries trying to shake things up. If Black Widow really did have ‘red in her ledger' then I want to see just how bloody everything is going to be.

Captain Marvel may be getting all the attention for now, but a lot of fans thinks it's about time that Black Widow got her share of the spotlight. Heck, she's been in the MCU since 2010. Cut her some slack.

No release date has been set for Black Widow.
