Black Widow Casting Call Gives Us Idea of Some Characters

After 10 years of the MCU, Black Widow is finally getting the attention she deserves with Marvel Studios giving her a standalone film. Scarlett Johansson is expected to star, and a recently released casting call gives us an idea of which characters to expect in the film.

These are some character descriptions according to That Hashtag Show:

Main Antagonist -The villain a man and is simply described as "exciting" and the studio is open to ethnicity, but looking for someone in their 40s.

Secondary Antagonist:The secondary antagonist is described as a woman in her 50s and is described to be ‘conniving.'

3 Other Characters:A bookish American in his late 20s, a man with an emphasis on African, Middle Easters, or East Indian descent, and a ‘kick-ass' woman who has been described as a ‘female Bond'

Of course, we have no idea what to expect with this movie just with the character breakdown, and even then there could be a change of plans once production commences. If anything, the film is starting to feel like Wonder Woman what with the male primary antagonist, female supporting villain, and a bunch of side characters who are less on the action side.

Rumor even has it that Black Widow will be a period piece as well. What is it with female superheroes and their movies not taking place at the present time?

For now, Marvel Studios hasn't released anything official about the Black Widow film, but some are guessing that it will come out in 2020 should production run smoothly.
