The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to grow and it comes with it the introduction of new characters such as Mason in Black Widow. When the whole world turned its back to Natasha, she kept tabs of the people she could count on and he is one of those people especially when she needed the right gear and transport. The actor playing Romanoff’s go-to guy, O-T Fagbenle, teases his MCU return.
More often than not, the characters in the MCU will turn out in another project and they are not there for once only, for O-T Fagbenle, when asked about the future of his character, he shared in a chat with /Film an idea that Mason will be back in the MCU sometime in the future, “I mean, you know what, with Marvel, I'm never sure how much they can say about stuff, but I'll just say that it wasn't a one-and-done conversation."
O-T Fagbenle’s Rick Mason procures things for Natasha and as he indicated in Black Widow, he is an independent contractor who can give you just about anything for the right price and maybe even the right time, depending on the circumstances, of course, as some missions are time-constrained. These gears and transportation could span from almost everything, as if a one-stop shop.

With Natasha’s demise in Endgame being a sacrifice to save half of the universe, there are other possible persons in the MCU that could be familiar with Mason. Surely, there is Yelena, they already met when Natasha asked Mason for a plane to save the Red Guardian from one of the most heavily guarded prisons in the world.
With the skills and expertise of Mason, there are surely others who know him. How else could Natasha know him? There could be Nick Fury or SHIELD, or even Barton could know him. How Mason procures these gears and technology is yet undisclosed but he could be an ex-SHIELD agent for all we know. Recently, it was revealed that Barton’s wife, Laura, used to be a SHIELD agent. Anything is possible.
