Marvel Studios' upcoming Phase Four offering Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently filming some scenes in Boston but in an unfortunate turn of events, one of its lead stars Letitia Wright was on the receiving end of an onset incident that required her medical attention. The 27-year-old actress, who plays Shuri in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was rushed to the hospital after a stunt rig went wrong. The "minor" injuries she sustained weren't specified but Marvel would release a statement assuring fans that everything is fine.
Now, according to a new update from Entertainment Weekly, Wright has already been discharged from the hospital just hours after being admitted and as previously reported, her injury is not expected to affect the progress of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's production and she's expected to be back on set in no time. As of writing, Wright or any of her representatives have not released an official statement regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, Wright is expected to play a more significant role in the much-awaited sequel which will reportedly introduce fans to T'Challa's rightful successor. Many believe she's one of the forerunners to become the new Black Panther which would make all the sense in the world.
However, other fans are worried that her career in Disney is in jeopardy after allegations of her being an anti-vaxxer surfaced last year. It even led to reports suggesting that newcomer Michaela Coel who joined the cast last July in an undisclosed role will replace her as one of the franchise's lead stars. For now, that one remains a huge rumor so I guess we'll just have to wait and see what actually happens in the film.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to be released on July 8, 2022.
