Black Panther Gets Amazing Disney+ Intro for Chadwick Boseman's 44th Birthday

It may have been a few months but fans are still mourning the passing of Chadwick Boseman who would have been celebrating his 44th birthday today. Amazingly, Disney+ has found an awesome way to pay tribute to the late Marvel Cinematic Universe star. The opening montage for Black Panther that is available on the streaming service has been given a new intro that honors Boseman.

Disney Chairman Bob Iger had previously teased on the surprise in a post on his official Twitter account.

"To all fans of #BlackPanther: watch the film on #DisneyPlus late tonight, for a special tribute to someone that was and will always be near and dear to our hearts," Iger tweeted.

The tribute turned out to be one of the coolest versions of the Marvel opening montage Instead of featuring scenes from other MCU flicks, the montage compiles most of T'Challa's most memorable moments from Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Needless to say, it's an emotional tribute to Boseman.

Boseman was first introduced as T'Challa in Captain America: Civil War which was filmed at about the same time that he discovered he had cancer. Nevertheless, the Ma Rainey's Black Bottom star still managed to work on Black Panther and two more MCU flicks. He was set to reprise his role in a sequel to the 2018 movie.

Boseman passed away on August 28, 2020. He was 43 years old.
