We've learned over the last couple of months that the future of the Black Panther franchise may be in shambles all thanks to the ongoing issue surrounding actress Letitia Wright. For the uninitiated, the Shuri actress was recently under fire for reportedly espousing her anti-vaccination views on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Interestingly, the actress was also the reason why production for the MCU sequel had to be put on pause.

According to reports, the injury Letitia sustained on set while practicing a stunt was far more severe than expected but some fans aren't buying into the narrative. The general belief within the fandom is that Letitia's injury had nothing to do with production being halted and most people are convinced that Disney is just actually reprimanding Wright for her vax controversy.

Now, a new rumor posted by tipster Grace Randolph seems to suggest that Letitia's days in the billion-dollar franchise are numbered, simply because she still refuses to get vaccinated against COVID-19. In a tweet, Randolph clarified that the actress is still expected to continue working Wakanda Forever but her future in the franchise seems to be in doubt. Check it out here:

It may look like a huge overreaction on the House of Mouse's part should Letitia get ousted from the MCU but her rumored refusal to get vaccinated puts her colleagues in jeopardy. I mean, it's not like the world is free from the threat of the COVID-19 virus, and with new variants popping up out of nowhere, the responsible thing to do is to get your vaccine shots and quit believing the conspiracies surrounding it.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently slated for release on November 11, 2022.
