It has been months since Black Clover got its last chapter, and finally, the beloved shonen series is set to return. In the latest Weekly Shonen Jump issue, it was confirmed that the Black Clover manga will return with Chapter 369 in the next Jump Giga issue.
This is welcome news for long-time series fans, especially given how long they had to wait for the series to return.
Of course, this isn’t all good news for fans. After all, the series won’t return to its previous weekly schedule anytime soon.
Black Clover Manga Shifts to Quarterly Serialization
Black Clover is one of the most popular titles in Shonen Jump’s catalog over the past years. For reference, the series has over 19 million copies in circulation as of June 2023.
Its popularity is partly thanks to the anime adaptation by Pierrot, the studio behind other Jump adaptations such as Naruto and Bleach. The Black Clover anime ended in March 2021, kind of echoing what happened with Bleach.
Even though the anime ended, the manga continued, but that was until the middle of this year when it was announced that Black Clover would move to a different magazine.
From Weekly Shonen Jump, the series moved to Jump Giga, the seasonal spinoff magazine of Jump. With this, Black Clover has officially moved to a quarterly serialization.
This came as a surprise for many, and while this isn’t ideal for fans, it’s still better than the alternative of extended hiatus periods with no return date.
Plus, this isn’t the first time a Jump manga has moved to a quarterly schedule. That also happened with Slam Dunk creator Takehiko Inoue’s Young Jump manga Real.

Black Clover Manga Chapter 369 Release Date
The manga’s last chapter was released on August 21, 2023. This marked the last time that the manga appeared in Shonen Jump.
After some silence, the series finally announced its return from its four-month-long hiatus in the latest Shonen Jump issue.
As promised, the manga’s next chapter will be released in the winter issue of Jump Giga. This means Black Clover Chapter 369 will be released in Japan on December 25, 2023.
It’s not clear yet if this new chapter will also be released internationally on the 25th. Chances are that the new chapter will be released in English on Shonen Jump and Manga Plus.
As for its length, the new release schedule may result in longer chapters, as is the case with monthly serialized manga.
