Black Adam Star Claims It Has the Highest Body Count Out of Any Superhero Movies

In just a few weeks, the hierarchy of power in the DCEU will change with the arrival of Black Adam in theaters. Fans have been looking forward to seeing the long-awaited debut of Dwayne Johnson in the franchise especially since he has been attached to the role for years and the character also has more of an antihero personality.

However, it looks like we might be expecting a lot of death in the film according to Noah Centineo, who plays Atom Smasher, in a recent interview with Esquire Middle East as he claimed that Black Adam will have the highest body count out of any superhero movies that have been released so far.

"This film has teeth, though it is a fantastic, marvelous, extraordinary superhero film. I’ve been told it has the highest body count of any superhero film so far. That may not be a great thing, but that’s the idea. We question morality with this film, but we never side with either opinion. We leave it open-ended," the actor said.

It is interesting to hear that Black Adam may have the highest body count in any superhero movie which is a bold claim since we've witnessed a lot of deaths in other superhero flicks such as the Avengers movies. Whether the record is true or not, it is an indication that the film will have a lot of deaths although it remains to be seen what the exact circumstances surrounding it are.

The film's logline reads: "Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."

Besides Johnson and Centineo, the cast also includes Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Viola Davis. Jaume Collet-Serra directed the film.
