Bioware Teases Something Dragon Age-Related For December

The Dragon Age games are some of the best Western RPGs out there, helping developer BioWare establish its name and showing that they don't only know how to make sci-fi. It's been years since Inquisition came out and impressed fans with its story and characters, so everyone has been wondering when the next game in the series is coming. Thankfully, a blog post from BioWare indicates that news is coming soon.

During the blog's November update, BioWare teased something Dragon Age-related getting announced within the coming month but wouldn't say when in December. Some fans have theorized that Dragon Age 4 will be announced during the Game Awards on December 6 but that's all speculation right now. Still, it's not like there are other major gaming events in that month.

"If you've been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we're also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we're excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won't tell you where to look…)"

BioWare and EA Games are currently busy working on Anthem, which looks to be their answer to Destiny and other MMO-like games that are dominating the market. If they really are working on a new Dragon Age, we can only hope that the game will remain a single-player experience, unless the company wants their title to end up like Fallout 76. Yeesh.

Expect more news during or after The Game Awards since we're still waiting for more blockbuster 2019 games to get announced. Sure, we have Kingdom Hearts III and Resident Evil 2 to look forward to in January but adding a new Dragon Age in 2019 wouldn't be too bad either.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is available now on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
