It's about time we accept the fact that William 'Bill' S. Preston Esq. and Theodore 'Ted' Logan are all grown up and having children of their own. Like, whoah. Bill and Ted Face the Music has just added two awesome cast members who will play the duo's daughters.

Hammerstone Studios has issued a press release announcing that Mayhem star Samara Weaving and The Glass Castle's Brigette Lundy-Paine will be joining Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves in the third Bill and Ted movie (via io9). Weaving will portray Bill's daughter Thea Preston while Lundy-Paine has been cast as Ted's little girl Billie Logan. If you're wondering, yes, the kids are named after their father's best friend.

It's awesome casting considering that the young actresses are talented and could easily pass as Bill and Ted's daughters. The movie's official Twitter account even posted a photo showing the comparison between fathers and daughters. Check it out below.

Weaving and Lundy-Paine clearly made an impression on producer Scott Kroopf, who gushed about their chemistry in a statement.

"When we saw Samara and Brigette together, it was like deja vu. It was exactly the way we felt when we first saw Keanu and Alex. We are so thrilled to have this funny and unique pair join the Bill and Ted team," Kroopf said.

The film is already expected to begin production in New Orleans early this month so it won't be long before we see Weaving and Lundy-Paine in action along with their on-screen dads. Excellent!

Bill and Ted Face the Music is scheduled for release on August 21, 2020.
