Big Bang Taeyang graced SBS Power FM's Cultwo Show Thursday, April 27, and revealed his special relationship with BLACKPINK's Lisa.

Taeyang collaborated with Lisa on the song "Shoong!" The title track is part of his newly-released solo mini album, Down to Earth.

Taeyang and Lisa's Relationship

The 34-year-old is thankful for the positive reception of his collaboration with the "Money" hitmaker.

"Thank you for helping me," he said, referring to Lisa via AllKpop.

From there, he revealed his special relationship with the Thai rapper since she auditioned for YG Entertainment. At the time, he saw her by chance.

"I didn't intend to be there. When I was working in the studio, I heard that someone from Thailand came to audition," he recalled.

After finishing his work, Taeyang watched the audition and saw the young Lisa.

"I don't remember exactly, but she was an elementary or middle school student back then. She came from Thailand alone, so I felt a little bitter," the Big Bang member continued.

The singer-dancer sang Justin Bieber's hit song "Baby" at the time.

"As soon as I heard Lisa sing, I knew right away that this young lady would be big in the industry in the future," Taeyang added.

Taeyang and Lisa's Collaboration

Taeyang revealed that Lisa knew he was there when he auditioned for YG.

Hence, he found it meaningful to collaborate with her this time.

"I feel excited somehow because that girl is doing amazing," the "Vibe" singer confessed.

Far from the young girl who was aspiring to be a singer he once saw, Lisa is now a big name in the music scene.

"I'm not just talking about her fame in Korea I mean globally," he continued. "I'm glad to witness her success and see her succeed."

Taeyang's New Album

Taeyang dropped "Down to Earth" on April 25, along with the music videos for the songs "Seed" and "Shoong!"

The mini album, featuring the song "Vibe" with BTS's Jimin, is the long-awaited follow-up to his 2017's White Night.

In an interview with NME, Taeyang disclosed his hopes to collaborate with other artists in his next project and teased there would be an "album in the future."
