Ben Barnes Reacts To Awesome The Punisher Season 2 Fan Art Featuring Jigsaw

We already know that Billy Russo isn't going to be pretty in The Punisher Season 2, but he's also less gruesome than his comic book counterpart. When a new fan art reimagined the character to look more like Jigsaw, actor Ben Barnes immediately reacted to the post.

Online artist BossLogic shared the fan art on their official Twitter account. "If the surgery wasn't amazing in the next season of @ThePunisher," the artist wrote. The image certainly looks more like the Jigsaw we would expect after what Frank Castle did to Billy in the first season finale. Not surprisingly, Barnes loves the art but wants people to manage their expectations next week.

"Awesome! Hope you'll see what we were going for when you see the whole show," Barnes wrote.

Although Billy doesn't appear as disfigured as Jigsaw appears in the comic book, Barnes had previously revealed that the real damage is in the character's mind.

"He's got brain damage and severe issues with his memory. I won't go into specifics of what he can and cannot remember, but he's trying to piece together what happened to him and who he is. There is a metaphor used, at one point, that his brain is the jigsaw, and they're trying to put the pieces together."

It's clear that Billy eventually figures out that he should go after Frank. Needless to say, we're looking forward to Jigsaw and The Punisher duking it out next week.

The Punisher Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on January 18.
