Ben Affleck Rumored To Have Signed On To Two Batman Movies

It looks like there's a new rumor going on about Ben Affleck and the DC Extended Universe.

Last week, word had it that Affleck was planning to stay and keep wearing the cowl of the DCEU's Batman. Now, a Deviant Artist on Twitter who claims to have sources in the know says that Affleck has signed on for two new movies for the Dark Knight and the possibility of signing on to a third solo Batman movie.

According to the tweet, Matt Reeve's The Batman is a "legit exciting movie" and Affleck would be a "fool to pass up the chance to try his hand at a solo venture."

This new report adds hope to the chances of Affleck legitimately staying with Warner Bros. to play the DCEU's Dark Knight.

Though the DCEU's had so much difficulty getting on its feet, many consider Affleck's Batman as one of the highlights of Warner Bros. burgeoning superhero franchise. To many, the DCEU's Caped Crusader is one of the best live-action versions of Batman that they've come across on the big screen.

However, because of the poor response towards Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Affleck's been flipflopping around wondering whether he should stay or leave Warner Bros. seemingly sinking ship. The DCU star was originally supposed to direct and write the studio's new Batman movie, however, Affleck changed his mind and Reeves has since taken over the project.

If the news about Affleck signing on to two Batman movies is true, then it probably means that Affleck thinks that Reeve's The Batman is worth holding on to and that the DCEU still has some hope.

The Batman doesn't have a release date yet, but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
