Ben Affleck is Looking in Top Shape to Reprise Batman Role

Ben Affleck's future in the DCEU has admittedly been a PR mess, and everyone is waiting for an official announcement on whether he's be reprising the role for Matt Reeves' Batman solo movie. Now a new image of Affleck has surfaced online, and it looks like he's in top shape to be Bruce Wayne again.

Of course, there hasn't been any confirmation that he's coming back to the role, but a lot of rumors have been coming out that he's getting more involved with the movie. After a short stint in rehab, maybe coming back to work would be the best move for Affleck.

It's been said that WB is extremely pleased with the script that Reeves has provided, and The Batman is said to be aiming for a production start summer of next year. We still don't have any specific details on the movie's plot, but it's been said that the main villain is going to be Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a. The Penguin.

Personally, I'm a big fan of how Affleck brought Batman to life in the DCEU, and it would be sad to see him go without making any solo movies for the character. Though I'm not a big fan of Jared Leto's Joker, I think the character can truly be memorable if he was just put in the right film—a film that pits him against his greatest rival in comic book history.

No release date has been set for The Batman, but with production set to start next year, we could be looking at the movie hitting theaters sometime in 2020.
