Ben Affleck Allegedly Clashed with Geoff Johns and was Forced Out of the Batman Role

Ben Affleck had recently come out with his truth that the stress behind Justice League had him quitting the Batman role, but new scoop details just exactly what went down behind-the-scenes, revealing that Affleck was forced out of the role.

As per Film Gob on Youtube, it was a clash between Affleck and Geoff Johns that was the main problem when it came to The Batman. Executives were worried that his Batman movie would be received poorly because it was tonally similar to Batman v Superman, and Johns apparently wanted to make the film more ‘optimistic.'

Affleck and Johns apparently couldn't come to a compromise and the stress from the negative press of Justice League as well as Affleck's divorce from Jennifer Garner all came crashing down on Affleck and he was given the option to opt-out before they got another ‘Heath Situation.'

For now, it looks like Affleck is just focusing on getting his life back together. Hopefully, with enough time, we can get him to come back to the DCEU; but for now, I think it's best if everyone just stops bothering him about Batman. If anything, being constantly reminded of the shit show that went down is probably not good for Affleck's well-being.

Then again, we don't know just how legit this scoop is, but I'm sure fans are getting a better picture of what went wrong behind the scenes.

Affleck may not be returning, but you can catch Robert Pattinson in The Batman when it comes out on June 25, 2021.
