When is Believer 2 Release Date?
Although Believer 2 only gained momentum a few months ago, it was actually shot between early July and mid-November 2022.
In September 2023, Netflix released the film's official teaser and poster. Both state: "Some wars will never end."
There's also a recurrent line in the trailer: "Mr. Lee is alive." This explains the need for a sequel to the 2018 Believer film.
The cast and crew filmed Believer 2 in South Korea, Thailand, and Norway. The trailer revealed that the film will be released on Netflix on November 17, 2023.
Who Stars in Believer 2?
The cast of Believer 2 is a mix of recurring characters in the franchise. For starters, Cho Jin-woong is returning to reprise his role as Jo Won-ho, a detective who is looking for the mastermind behind the largest drug cartel in Asia.
Another character we'll see returning in the sequel is Cha Seung-won's Brian Lee. In the first movie, he only had a guest role. But in Believer 2, his character has been upgraded to a leading role.
One of the newest characters we'll meet in Believer 2 is Big Knife or Keunkal (played by Han Hyo-joo). She is said to be Mr. Lee's closest associate and will not stop at anything to protect him.
Oh Seung-hoon will also be starring in Believer 2 as Rak. This film marks his Netflix debut.

Who is Behind Believer 2?
Believer 2 was directed by Baek Jong-yul. The first film was directed by Lee Hae-young, who also wrote the screenplay with Jeong Seo-kyeong.
Meanwhile, the sequel was written by Kim Hee-jin. It is being produced by CJ Entertainment.
What is Believer 2 Story About?
The official synopsis of the film on Netflix reads:
“Believer 2 follows Won-ho’s investigation of looking for “Rak,” who disappeared after Brian’s incarceration while getting to the core of the elusive drug cartel.”
The sequel will follow Detective Won-ho's experience in looking for his friend, Rak, who went missing ever since Mr. Lee got imprisoned.
Eventually, Won-ho finds a way to uncover the drug cartel but he has to face Big Knife, who is a menacing woman who won't stop until Mr. Lee is protected.
