It has been three years since the last Beastars episode, though fans can finally look forward to more soon. That’s because Beastars season 3 recently revealed its two-cour release, with Part 1 set to release this year.
Details about the show’s release schedule were shared on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, as well as on studio Orange’s official pages.
The upcoming season’s schedule is a departure from the series, given that its first two seasons were only one cour in length.
Beastars Season 3 Gets Two-Cour Release
Beastars is a drama fantasy anime based on a manga by Paru Itagaki. The series is produced by Orange, the studio behind notable 3DCG anime like Land of the Lustrous and Trigun Stampede.
The first season of the anime adaptation aired in the fall 2019 season. This was followed up by a second season that aired in winter 2021. This made the gap between the two seasons just a bit over a year.
That wasn’t the case with season 3 though, as this final season was confirmed back in 2022, though it was set to air sometime in 2024.
Despite the long wait, fans will be happy to know that the third season will get a two-cour release, meaning it will likely have 24 episodes. Moreover, the show has not been delayed, as it’s still set to air this year.

Beastars Season 3 Part 1 Release Window Announced
Since the third season was announced back in September 2022, Orange has been quiet about the show. Finally, a new key visual was released for it, and it confirmed that season 3 part 1 will air in 2024.
Netflix also confirmed that the show’s two halves will be released on the platform as an exclusive.
The show’s first two seasons are also Netflix-exclusive internationally, so it’s no surprise that this is the case for season 3.
While part 1 will be released in 2024, there’s no word on a specific release date or season. Given that there’s no trailer yet, there’s a chance that fans will have to wait until fall 2024 for its premiere.

Beastars Season 3 Part 2 Release Date Predictions
Even if season 3 part 1 gets released a bit earlier, say in summer 2024, it’s still likely that part 2 will be released in 2025.
As for a release schedule, this show will likely get one new episode weekly on Netflix instead of getting all episodes of a cour in one day. This is based on the release strategy for the previous season.
