Going into its second season, Batwoman will be entirely different following Ruby Rose's exit and Javicia Leslie stepping in as Ryan Wilder who'll eventually don the Batsuit. Not much is known about what's to come in Season 2 yet and filming is still a while away. However, a new face is reportedly set to appear in the upcoming season!

The Direct says their sources revealed a new female villain going by the name "The Whisper" is being cast for Batwoman's sophomore season. The casting call is "open ethnicity and is seeking an actress in the 20-30 year age range."

The outlet is uncertain whether Whisper is just a pseudonym for the character so as not to spoil anything or if it's actually the villain based on Whisper A'Daire. In the comics, Whisper is a former agent of Ra's Al Ghul and was gifted with immortality and the ability to shapeshift from a serum. As a human-snake hybrid, this gives her the ability to enhanced speed as well.

The outlet points out that with Scarecrow expected to be one of the main villains as well, it's possible that he would team up with the Whisper, considering that they both have toxin-related abilities.

For now, Batwoman Season 2 is still shrouded in mystery, with fans curious about how the show will explain Kate Kane's disappearance will factor into Ryan Wilder's journey to becoming Batwoman.
