Battlefront II's Janina Gavankar Coming to Star Wars Celebration 2019

2018 may not have had a Star Wars Celebration, but the event is coming back this year, promising some big reveals for the franchise. What's cool is, the star of the campaign for Star Wars Battlefront II Janina Gavankar has confirmed that she's coming to the event.

This is her official post:

In the game, Gavankar plays the role of Iden Versio, an Imperial elite trooper who is a member of Inferno Squadron. I don't want to spoil anything for the campaign, but I have to say that Iden is another strong woman protagonist that has been given to us by the Disney era of Star Wars. Gavankar played the role really well, and I'm hoping she makes some kind of return to the franchise, maybe even a guest role in Star Wars Resistance.

We haven't gotten any updates on the campaign since Resurrection, but I'm hoping that with the growing community, DICE manages to give us some more content down the line. I wouldn't even mind an anthology chapter focusing on Iden's glory days as an Imperial soldier. Then again, I'm also up to seeing what's next with Iden's daughter Zay.

For now, Battlefront II has made a lot of fixes and a lot of people have been flocking to the community since the latest Geonosis update. The Clone Wars series continues, and the end of the month will see the arrival of new playable character Count Dooku with February seeing the arrival of Anakin Skywalker.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
