Batman: Arkham Knight Will Be 'Free' for PS Plus Owners This September

If you have a PS4, love superheroes, and aren't a fan of Marvel's Spider-Man a.) something is wrong with you and b.) there is an alternative, assuming you're a PlayStation Plus member. For the month of September, Sony has revealed that Batman: Arkham Knight will be one of the "free" games for the service, along with THQ Nordic's Darksiders 3. While it's not the freshest game to come to PS Plus, it's still high-quality and should be anticipated.

Batman: Arkham Knight is the final game in Rocksteady's trilogy of Arkham games, with many fans conflicted on if it's the best or worst one. While it does have dazzling graphics, great combat, and a solid story, it also has eye-rolling Batmobile segments and no boss fights, along with some repetitive missions. Even with its flaws, this is still a fun action game that anyone can enjoy.

Granted, you'll need PS Plus if you want to play this game for "free." Paying a fee once a year to play multiple games isn't too bad but it also goes to show that nothing is really free. Still, if you haven't played this game yet then September is the time to do so.

While I prefer Marvel's Spider-Man, there is a lot to like about Batman: Arkham Knight. The costumes are detailed, it has satisfying combat, and the voice acting is pretty solid. The season pass is also pretty cheap at $19.99, though it was originally $39.99. Still, time makes some things better and Arkham Knight is one of them.

Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3 will be "free" on PlayStation Plus this September.
