After years of waiting, Batman: Arkham Knight has finally released the Earth 2 Dark Knight skin for all to download, at least if you have a PlayStation 4. This is a skin that was only available to fans who attended a special E3 event a number of years ago, before being an exclusive piece of DLC for the Batman: Arkham Collection. We don't know why it took so long but we're glad that everyone can use it now.
Fans who have read the Earth 2 New 52 series will find the costume familiar. Since Bruce Wayne died as Batman in this universe, his father actually replaced him as the Dark Knight and wore this spiffy black and red costume to fight crime. Thomas Wayne being Batman is far from an original concept since Flashpoint already did that but it is pretty cool seeing his father take the mantle after Bruce.
While the new skin is nice, fans are probably wondering where the new Batman: Arkham game is. Warner Bros. Montreal has been teasing a new game centered on the Court of Owls but we still haven't heard much about it, with many speculating that it could be a next-gen game. Some of us are hoping that it will be available on PS4 and Xbox One but we'll wait and see.
Batman: Arkham Knight is now available on PS4 and Xbox One. The game is also available on Steam but do not buy it there since it's a bug-filled mess that Rocksteady gave up on, even giving players a refund if they wanted it.
