Bargain is a Korean drama thriller that received positive reviews from fans and critics alike. It won Best Screenplay at the 2023 Canneseries Festival and is the first Korean series to receive such an award. So, who stars in the K-drama Bargain?

Bargain revolves around a group of strangers who gather at a remote hotel seeking to bargain.

In the K-drama, men are lured to the hotel under the guise of sexual encounters only to find out that their organs are auctioned to the highest bidder.

However, an unexpected earthquake traps all the victims, traffickers, and buyers inside the building. All of them find ways to survive, not just from the aftermath of the earthquake, but also from each other.

Jin Sun-kyu stars as Noh Hyung-soo. Hyung-soo goes to a hotel room to see Park Joo-young for sexual services. Later on, he finds himself surrounded by people who want to buy his organs.

Actor Jin Sun-kyu is best known for his roles in the films Extreme Job and The Outlaws. He also appeared in the Korean dramas The Uncanny Counter, Revenant, King the Land, Entourage, and Lawless Lawyer.

Jeon Jong-seo plays Park Joo-young, a young woman who lures men to a remote hotel, convincing them to pay her for sex. Joo-young is part of an organ trafficking ring and later holds an auction for Hyung-soo’s organs.

Actress Jeon Jong-seo is best known for her role as Tokyo in Money Heist: Korea. She also starred in the film The Call and won Best Actress at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards for her performance. Jong-seo also stars in the film Ballerina.

Chang Ryul as Go Geuk-ryul

Chang Ryul joins the cast of the Bargain K-drama as Go Geuk-ryul, a son who is desperate to secure a kidney for his dying father.

Actor Chang Ryul has starred in the Korean dramas My Name, Arthdal Chronicles, Lawless Lawyer, Welcome to Waikiki 2, Something in the Rain, and My Mister.

Talking about Bargain’s recognition from Cannes, Chang Ryul said:

“This experimental way that we shot our series is one of the main reasons why Bargain received recognition from Cannes, in my opinion. Carrying out a three-and-a-half-hour story with this method is very unusual and challenging. Not only us actors but the entire crew and staff worked tirelessly for this project, and this was acknowledged through this Canneseries invitation.”
