Avengers: Endgame Fan Theory Suggests Vision Might Be Key To Thanos’ Defeat

Seeing how Marvel Studios has been keeping Avengers: Endgame's secrets under wraps, fans have been turning to the many theories that have been running around online, speculating just how Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and the rest of the team would undo Thanos' (Josh Brolin) massacre.

One question that fans have been trying to answer is just how the Infinity Gauntlet would be defeated, and now it looks like a new fan theory puts all the attention on an Avenger that died in Avengers: Infinity War.

According to a wild fan theory that's been running on Reddit, Vision might have died twice in the first installment of the Russo Brother's two-part Avengers movie, but the hero might have actually transferred his mind into the Mind Stone, secretly influencing Thanos. It's Vision's consciousness in the Mind Stone that helps the remaining Avengers in Avengers: Endgame, giving the team a key advantage during a pivotal moment in the movie.

This method is similar to how Adam Warlock plays mind-games on Thanos at a critical moment in the actual Infinity Gauntlet comics, and it wouldn't be farfetched to see the Russos bringing this kind of moment to the big screen in their film.

Of course, fans ought to take these theories with a grain of salt. As exciting as it might sound to have Vision influencing Thanos from the inside of the Mind Stone, these theories have no bearing on the actual film. We'll just have to wait and see what Marvel really has in store for everyone and whether a Mind Stone Vision is part of it.

Avengers: Endgame hits cinemas April 26, 2019.
