Avengers Infinity War Concept Art Reveals Alternate Designs for the Infinity Gauntlet

The release of The Art of Avengers: Infinity War has come with a lot of great revelations about the film, and as it turns out, the Infinity Gauntlet could have looked a lot more different.

Check out these different renditions found in the book:

Personally, I'm a fan of the more futuristic look for the Gauntlet, and it matches with the aesthetic of the rest of MCU Cosmic. I have a feeling that the final one we got just looked too medieval.

Then again, that's just my opinion. I felt that the Gauntlet's look was suddenly put in a creative box after the Easter Egg that was found in Odin's vault way back in the first Thor. Add to that they settled on the look for the final Gauntlet way back in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

I wouldn't have been opposed to Thanos forcing Eitri to make him an updated version of the Gauntlet, but I guess they had to stick with what they had for continuity's sake.

For now, it looks like the Gauntlet had been destroyed after Thanos' snap. It must've taken a lot of cosmic power to murder half the universe. I guess we'll just have to wait and see on the status of the Infinity Stones moving forward. Maybe Thanos made sure they couldn't be used again so no one can reverse his snap?
