It looks like Marvel fans really are having it good this month. Not only did Marvel drop a brand new TV spot for Avengers: Endgame during the NFL's Super Bowl game last weekend, but the studio's also released the official synopsis for the film closing out the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This new synopsis comes from Disney's Australian website featuring a countdown to when the Avengers: Infinity War finally makes its way to cinemas. Not only is the Endgame description the film's first official synopsis, but it also serves as a hint for fans, giving everyone an idea of just how high the stakes are going to be now that we're past Infinity War.

"After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos' actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store."
It looks like Endgame's teaser wasn't exaggerating the effects of Thanos' snappening. The Mad Titan might have been hoping to bring balance to the universe, but it looks like Thanos failed at his mission after all. Without half of its population to keep the planet running, the Earth has been left in ruins – a fact clearly seen in the very Empty New York City in Endgame's Super Bowl TV spot.
Of course, undoing Thanos snap is going to take a whole lot of effort, and this new synopsis confirms that the Avengers are likely to make major sacrifices to bring back those that turned into dust. The only question now is who'll become the sacrificial lamb in Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame makes its big premiere on April 26, 2019.
