Avengers: Endgame Writers Explain Why Adam Warlock Was Left Out From MCU Film

There's probably nothing that people would change about Avengers: Endgame although some still believe that it was the perfect time to introduce Adam Warlock into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus have revealed why Adam was left out of the film.

The Endgame writers recently spoke about their work with Backstory Magazine and McFeely gave an interesting explanation on why Adam was snubbed in the movie (via Comicbook.com).

"The logic right here was to honor the MCU as how it had already existed and the characters you'd already fallen in love with," McFeely said. "We did not want to give too much story space to introducing a whole new person. It would rob you from somebody."

Sure, they could have introduced Adam in a similar way that T'Challa made his debut in Captain America: Civil War. On the other hand, there was already a different character set for that introduction.

"We were doing the Black Panther thing with a brand-new cosmic character in the form of Captain Marvel," Markus said. "Her movie had not really even been conceived yet, so to bring her in as an even more cosmic character made sense."

So there you go. Adam Warlock may have been a great addition to the Avengers but Carol Danvers had to be incorporated into the story in a bigger way. Perhaps fans will have to wait until Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to find out if Adam will finally get an awesome MCU debut. After all, there's a bigger chance he will appear in the third GOTG film after his birth was teased in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Avengers: Endgame is currently available on digital. The Blu-ray will be released on August 13.
